So, a quick update... God is really having to reteach me some things right now.. Like, just because an idea seems great and that it is from God, does not mean that it is His will in this time. This is hard to learn. I keep getting my hopes up in the upcoming possibilities, but doors keep getting shut. I do not understand why, but I know it is just not God's plan for me right now. But, in some ways, the doors being shut are opening up different possibilities for me. I just want to jump into the ministry that God is calling me to and He is saying wait for my timing. And waiting is hard. I do not think that anyone enjoys waiting... it is not fun. God is really showing me things that I need to work on right now. But, God keeps putting this verse on my heart, Zechariah 4:10: (NLT) "Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabal's hand." God is wanting me to take these steps into the ministry that He has called me to, but I need to do it in His timing. He has got it covered.
I just wanted to update you guys on my life here in Guatemala. I am currently looking for a long term living situation here. As of now, I have a place to live for short term in the same town as the home, and I am still contacting ministries about volunteering and interning with them.
